is Corn Belt country and we like to celebrate each year with
CORNfest. Bring out
your inner Hoosier at the Corniest Party of the Year! Indiana is
the 4th largest corn producing state, and almost half the crop
land in Indiana is used to grow our phenomenal corn. What better
way to show our farmers some support than to eat, drink, and be
merry with Indiana corn!
Thursday August 18th:
CORNtasting dinner
at FARMbloomington. Starts at 6:30pm
and ends when everyone is full!
CORNart competition begins. Please drop off all
entries at FARMbloomington restaurant. There are no rules so
long as corn is a theme. Paintings, photos, and statues welcome.
All ages welcome. The winning prize will be a $100 gift
certificate to FARMbloomington, with a $50 gift card for runner
up. Congratulations to last year’s winner Mica Harrison with her
black and white corn photo display.
CORNYkids coloring contest begins and entries
may be dropped off at FARMbloomington. Hoosier kids up to age 12
may enter. We are looking for fun, original pictures. The
winning CORNkid
will receive a pass to the WonderLab Museum in Bloomington ,IN.
Friday August 19th:
FARM in Bloomington will be selling street food
including our house-made corndogs!
Chef David Wade’s picture
photo booth will be on hand to take those lasting memories.

FARMbloomington bartender extraordinaire Zak will be slinging his
CORNconcotions all
weekend long.
Saturday August 20th:
Feeling hungry and competitive? Enter our
Corn Eating Competition!
Prove to your friends that you are indeed a corn-eating Hoosier!
$50 FARMgift Card to the winner.
We will continue our sidewalk food sale with mouthwatering corn
recipes.
CORNhuskers Ball starring Hank Haggard and the
CORNhuskers. Honky
Tonk Dance Party in the Root Cellar Lounge. Come get yo’ dance
on! Music starts at 10pm.
FARM will be handing out crowns for the 2011
CORNking and
CORNqueen. Hoosier
royalty at its finest.
Sunday August 21st:
Wrap up your weekend with our
CORNcake Breakfast. Farm will be offering a $12,
all-you-can- eat Cornmeal Pancake and Mariah’s Bacon special in
addition to their regular brunch. Tim Burton from Burton’s
Maplewood Farm has donated delicious Indiana Maple Syrup and the
use of his famous griddle for the occasion. We’ll also announce
the winners of the CORNart
contest and the Kids Coloring
contest.
$5 of each sale will go to the Ivy Tech Future Culinarian Fund.
