Jalisco Tequila Dinner with Patron Tequila Pairings
March may come in like a lion but out like a lamb…But we’ll take Carne su Jugo and tequila! March’s Gourmet Club celebrates the foods of Chef D’s favorite part of Mexico. For one night only, take trip with us to Jalisco.
6:30 to 9:30 pm
The Gourmet Club is held monthly (generally the third Thursday) at FARMbloomington at 108 East Kirkwood in Bloomington, Indiana. Each month’s meal has a different theme. Recent inspirations include the Game of Thrones show, the Harry Potter series and Robert Burns.
Reservations can be made 1 of 3 ways:
Crispy, spicy pork tenderloin sandwich in salsa picante
Sopes y Frijoles
Housed made tortillas gordas (fat tortillas), refried black beans, avocado
Shrimp skewers marinated in garlic, black pepper, chilies, tomatoes
At the table
Spicy early spring greens, queso fresco, pumpkin seeds, Avocado dressing
Carne en su Jugo
Beef and pinto bean stew, onions, cilantro, lime,
Pescado al mojo de ajo
Pan fried Mahi mahi drenched in garlic, grilled vegetable salad
Birria de Cordero
Chili and beer rubbed Lamb sirloin, jus, tortillas, salsas
Flan Custard Brulee and tequila roasted prunes
