For FARMbloomington’s May Gourmet Club, FARMbloomingont Chef Owner Daniel Orr (Chef D) prepares dishes from his new Earth Eats: Real Food, Green Living book. Diners will enjoy a vegetarian meal made from local ingredients with global influences. The Gourmet Club is a pop up restaurant inside FARMbloomington once a month. Gourmet Club menus are served for one night only.
“We’ve had several people post on social media about wanting a vegetarian Gourmet Club meal. On Earth Eats as well as at FARMbloomington, we celebrate local ingredients and global flavors. I’ve long been interested in Indian, Japanese, Chinese, and African ingredients in recipes. Vegetarian food is a great way to celebrate these cultures. When I decided to serve dishes from the new Earth Eats: Real Food, Green Living book, it was a natural fit,” shares FARMbloomington Chef Owner Daniel Orr. “Book co-author Annie Corrigan and I delight in sharing the love of local in the Earth Eats radio show and podcast. We find vegetarian meals are becoming increasingly popular with our fans.”
The meal will be served starting at 6:30 pm in the dining room of FARMbloomington on May 25. Both Chef Daniel Orr and Annie Corrigan will be at the event to meet diners and sign books. Earth Eats: Real Food, Green Living books are available for purchase in the restaurant’s FARMmarket.
